Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Visa: GC/USC Must Haves: 6-8 years hands-on experience in development and/or security operations roles (DevSecOps) Direct experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud or Aqua Sec CSPM. Must have experience in securing Cloud environments (ideally AWS, GCP) Must have experience working closely with developers to ensure secure coding Experience in containerized environments ideal (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Far gate, GCP GKE, etc.) SIEM solution experience (Exabeam ideal but open to others) Crypto experience a plus Job Description: The Senior Security Operations Engineer will be a Dev-focused Cloud Security Engineer with experience engaging with software development teams, monitoring and improving DevSecOps tools and processes, automating routine tasks and improving system reliability. They will also plays a critical role in providing technical support for day-to-day security operations, security tool integration, automation support, change management and business continuity program. What youll be doing: Evaluate, select, design and configure security & infrastructure systems in a Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulated environment. Support and conduct internal audits, help mitigate findings and implement improvement measures. Identify, integrate, monitor and improve InfoSec controls by understanding business processes. Work in support of the Manager, Security Operations enhancing and aligning the security direction for the organization including systems, networks, user services and vendor development efforts. Install, configure, manage, and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications such as AV, patching, SIEM, log management and other technical application controls. Troubleshoot security system and related issues. Assist with complex projects and ongoing support of security operations. Conduct network and system tests via simulation or other means to highlight and find any weaknesses that may be exploited. Assist in defining security requirements and review of systems to determine if they have been designed to comply with established security standards and regulatory requirements (focus on PCI). Develop new standards as necessary. Design, implement, support and evaluate security-focused tools, vulnerability management tools and services. Participation in incident response & handling and other related duties to support the information security function. What we are looking for: At least 6-8 years professional experience in development and/or security operations Experience monitoring and improving DevSecOps tools and processes Extensive use/experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience running or managing vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and code review (both static and dynamic, whether software-assisted or not). Experience working closely with Developers and Engineering teams to demonstrate more secure practices within Development and the ability to align the teams to adopt such practices. Strong working knowledge/practice of API Security, API Gateways, Container Security (docker and kubernetes), and AWS/GCP Security practices. Strong working knowledge/practice of planning, presenting, and implementing secure guardrails (least privilege & separation of duties) within the Development infrastructure and pipeline. Computer Science, IT or Information Security-related B.S. degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience . Bonus Points: Cloud-specific Security Certifications like AWS Certified Security Specialty, is strongly preferred. Industry-recognized security certifications such as: CISSP, CCSP, CEH, etc are strongly preferred. Experience with the fundamentals of block chain technology, developer platforms, game design, and / or token economics. High-growth or early-stage startup experience.
