DESKTOP ENGINEER Sr. Desktop Engineer to join one of our top healthcare partners. This person will be a new addition to this hybrid team (80% remote, 20% onsite) in a contract-to-hire capacity. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience, particularly in an engineering desktop and enterprise environment. SR. DESKTOP ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of experience in an engineering desktop environment across a large enterprise environment Strong Microsoft Windows system administration and troubleshooting skills including deep knowledge of the registry, file system, processes, and security in Windows operating systems Experience with Endpoint Management across a large enterprise environment Expertise in building and deploying Windows clients using OSD (has implemented and overseen OSD processes, ensuring smooth operating system installations and upgrades MECM and Intune experience in a co-managed environment Experience in PowerShell scripting Bonus skills: Citrix, Customer Experience Management tool, and/or healthcare industry experience SR. DESKTOP ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES Endpoint management: Management and maintain all desktop endpoints across the organization, including devices running on IGEL, Teradici, Windows 10, and Windows 11 Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM): Utilize and administer MECM for efficient endpoint deployment, software distribution, and security updates and system reporting and monitoring Operating System Deployment (OSD): Implement and oversee the OSD processes, ensuring smooth operating system installations and upgrades Group Policy Objects (GPO): Create, modify, and manage GPOs to configure and maintain desktop settings, security policies, and user access controls Active Directory: Work closely with AD to manage user and group accounts, permissions, and security policies Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks, resolve issues, and optimize endpoint management processes Citrix Workspace: Leverage Citrix Workspace for desktop virtualization and application delivery to enhance user experience and productivity Patch Management: Manage client patching and updates, ensuring that all endpoints are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates Third-Party Updates: Monitor and manage third-party application updates to maintain software compatibility and security Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and knowledge base articles related to desktop engineering processes and best practices Security and Compliance: Ensure desktop endpoints are compliant with healthcare industry standards and security policies.
