The client will not accept non-local residents Job Description - We are currently hiring a skilled PeopleSoft Developer for a long - term contract position in Austin, TX. This position will initially be hybrid with the expectation of 2-3 days be worked onsite. If selected, your roles and responsibilities may also include, but not be limited to, the following: Performing highly advanced analysis and development of all ERS PeopleSoft applications and modules. Performing advanced data analysis and assists in doing extensive data research and creating simple to complicated data mapping rules. Assisting ETL developers, testers, business analysts and users in defining a data mapping rule and provides estimates for a work item. Writing test scripts, debugging complex PeopleSoft programs like SQR, Application Engine, PeopleCode, etc., Designing and developing complex PeopleSoft Pages and Components. Preparing detailed analyses, plans, diagrams and procedures within a technical design document for existing and proposed PeopleSoft applications. Determining the effort involved in implementing new systems or enhancements to existing systems due to changes in user requirements, legislative mandates, new software releases, changes in equipment configurations, etc. Suggesting technical solutions to enhance business processing efficiency of existing and/or new processes. Demonstrating developed functionality to agency staff prior to the implementation of new or revised technical systems and offers guidance during the implementation process. Performing on-call or scheduled after hours work as required. Minimum Required Qualifications: Current Resident pf the Austin Texas Metropolitan area with the ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week. 6 yrs. of experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools development. 3 yrs. of PeopleSoft development experience with PeopleSoft Benefits Administration and Pension Administration 3 yrs. of experience using SQL with an Oracle database. 3 yrs. of experience writing SQR programs and PeopleSoft PeopleCode. 3 yrs. of experience of doing in-depth data analysis. 2 yrs. of experience with PeopleSoft Application Engine programming. 1 yr. of experience with PeopleSoft XML Publisher. 1 yr. of experience conducting design review meetings and documenting the meeting. Degree from a four-year college or university with the last year of major coursework in data processing, computer science, business or a related field. Each year of related experience over the required minimum may be substituted for one year of required college credit. Preferred Qualifications: 1 yr. of experience with Web Services and integrating web services between PeopleSoft and third party applications. 1 yr. of experience drawing flow diagrams to show pictorially the new or existing processes. Advanced ability/experience in processing information logically; designing programs and systems logically; preparing program specifications; coding, testing, and debugging computer programs/applications, interpreting technical information relating to PeopleSoft programming and other areas of data processing; and performing mathematical calculations.
