Create net new development work and then tell other teams to expand on it. Takes the needs of different teams and then create it in a ChatGPT tool. First business case to use it were wind technicians, they use an iPad to ask what to do to complete a task. This DevOps Engineer will incorporate more functionality into the AI tool. Cloud is in AWS, build out the libraries from Azure and put in AWS Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: CI/CD pipelining, Lambdas, deploying and scaling environments as well Most of their environment is EKS but some in Kubernetes There are other team members working on this project Though they have this main platform they're building, some people are releasing their own backend that's part of the bigger project. Must Haves: 1. AWS 2. GitHub actions Nice to Haves 1. Elastic AI experience EKS Any cloud formation platform What You Will Do: Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to it and oversee CI/CD pipelines to maximize productivity. Experienced AWS DevOps responsible for making apps more scalable and reliable. Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance. Design, implement, maintain, and support platform services associated with the CI/CD pipelines Configure monitoring and alerting systems for applications and platform services. Work with leadership and be accountable for aligning the team to architectural, technical, functional, and performance guidelines related to CI/CD pipelines Define service capacity planning strategies. Implement the applications CI/CD pipeline using the Jenkins, GitHub Actions or AWS CI/CD stack. Experience with the core AWS services, plus the specifics mentioned in this job description. Good background in Linux/Unix administration. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Having used ECS or EKS. Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.). Previous exposure to large-scale systems design. Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems. Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies. Past experience with the serverless approaches using AWS Lambda is a plus. For example, the Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM). Exposure to Agile practices/Methodologies.
