Position Title: Data Wrangler
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Day 1 onsite)
Contract role

Primary Job Responsibilities
Provide data wrangling services to make data (structured and unstructured), by transformations, normalization, and data mapping, consumable for a variety of downstream purposes such as applications, visualizations, and analytics
Design and model analytical methods based on the statistical methods required by Statistics staff. Validate, test, and deploy data models and analytical products/tools.
Identify opportunities to enhance standards and incorporate best practices in the areas of data wrangling, data visualization, and data integration
Help establish a repeatable business process for Statistics analysts to conduct exploratory analysis and define a lifecycle to mature practices for standardization, digitalization, and improvement
Research, troubleshoot and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems. Prepare and communicate through effective presentations and written communications.
Identify, locate, and wrangle data from existing data locations (including Enterprise Data Lake EDL), external sources, and new data sources as needed to support analytics and reporting
Organize and clean data to remove quality issues, combine data sources, and provide relevant information which may include developing samples used to create analytics models or reports
Create and manage ad hoc reports and interactive visualizations to support data-driven decisions and process enablement (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
Engage and collaborate with global aftermarket stakeholders to support RPM business
Collaborate with other analytics practitioners to establish and utilize best practices
Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of big data platforms and/or technologies such as Data Lake, Databricks, and AWS
Experience in communicating with leadership and technical audiences with the ability to adapt the level of technical detail
Hands-on experience in merging several data sources into one data set, enriching, and validating
Knowledge of data architecture and data management best practices
Experience developing data models and analytical products for financial services firms
Experience in or knowledge to learn other lightweight solutions such as Python and/or R
Experience in business analysis and working with diverse teams and competing interests for requirements gathering and analyzing technical trade-offs
Collaborative working style, willingness to flex roles and responsibilities when needed to support larger team goals and outcomes

Physical Requirements:
Availability to work various shifts, and extended hours and to provide on-call support as required.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand, and power tools, and to handle other computer components.
Lifting, bending, and transporting heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Visual acuity to read technical documents, and computer screens and to accurately identify small parts and components.
Ability to bend, stretch, and crawl under desks
Education:
BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline.
