Job Title: Java Lead Location: : McLean, VA (Hybrid)- Only Locals Duration:- 12+ Months Job Description: We support Product Updates which works on developing applications for customers to utilize or credit card services. These applications are back end heavy and focused on both mobile and web applications. We are core programming team and looking for a Lead Java developer to join our teams Spring Boot migration as well as a faregate migration thats supporting a larger modernization effort. This resource will be responsible for hands on programming. What will you do: You'll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems. You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Python, GO, REST, JSON, XML, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Maven, iOS, Android, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure to name a few. Assist with bi-monthly on call support (every 8 weeks). Must Have: 5+ years in a hands-on development role Java Preferred expertise Spring Boot Framework experience Splunk AWS> EC2, Docker, Faregate, Lambda Managing Sprint Tasks Create Test Cases REST APIs Nice to Have: Experience in supporting Application Modernizations and Migrations AWS certifications GO or Python >used for API development Agile Meth. expertise Previous Cap1 Solution focused resource JSON, XML, HTML / HTML5, CSS NoSQL databases, relational databases You will: Work with product owners & tech lead to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios Continuously improve software engineering practices Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 5 years experience in software development & agile methodologies -- Keywords: business intelligence information technology golang Virginia |
