[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Business Administration -Technical Specialist- Expert (728386) Location: Raleigh NC Duration: 12 Months Client: NC-DIT Need 10+ years Candidate Need Local Candidate Business Operations is a key division within the NC Department of Information Technology, Chief Deputy (CD) Internal Operations, and is responsible for providing IT services to state agencies, local governments, and educational institutions. The group is responsible for Contract and Vendor Management, Service Administration, Internal Compliance and Financial Cloud Operations. This is a technical position within Business Operations that is responsible for enterprise planning primarily with the director of business operations. This position provides input and feedback to leadership regarding work standards and processes, policy development, recurring issues and future needs for enterprise desktop and print services. This position also works with the director of service administration, contract and vendor management in the analysis and advisement of updating processes and procedures within the department. This position will also work closely with the Chief Deputy State Chief Information Officer and the Senior Director of Enterprise Operations. Provide support to Director of Business Administration including but not limited to the areas of budget and rate development, cloud FinOps structure development, and contract and vendor management. Provide support to the Chief Deputy State CIO and Senior Director of Enterprise Operations on projects as needed. Works with Service Administration and Service Owners to develop short and long-term budget plans. Provides support for business analytics data used for the development and monitoring of budgets and rates for enterprise level services provided by DIT. Works with contract and vendor management to Provides internal technical support for team toolsets. Works with clients and vendors in developing solutions for specific needs and ensuring billing methodology is in place and accurate. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of financial system budgeting. Experience with Excel. Possesses a working knowledge of budget tracking, rate development, and contract management. This employee must possess interpersonal skills to direct staff as needed. The employee will utilize multiple communications and collaboration tools to communicate. Must be able to understand service rate development, fund accounting, and contract implications on both. Demonstrated ability to understand IT financial management, cost management and demonstrating the business value of IT. Must understand the technologies at a high-level, speak the language of the technology and understand how technologies inter-operate. Must be able to participate in technology discussions, at the architecture layer, specifically understanding networking, firewalls, other security components, server, storage, and cloud architectures including understanding of specific software related aspects such as database, middleware, load testing and application specific details. Demonstrated ability to understand what triggers additional or reduced costs in overall capability and be able to explain to senior level executives.
