Analyzes legislation or other business documentation (e.g. policies/procedures, RFPs, etc.) to determine necessary IT system changes or changes to business processes required to meet the objectives of an agency initiative. To assist the technical staff in gathering and documenting the system functional and system requirements for new development projects and enhancements to existing applications for its users. Required: Experience with writing use cases and requirements documents 7 years Required: Experience with developing business requirements 7 years Required: Experience with developing functional requirements 7 years Required: Experience business process re-engineering 7 years Required: Experience in business change management 7 years Experience with requirements gathering - 7 years Experience developing Business Requirements documentation 7 years Experience conducting full system testing with overall functionality 5 years Works with business users to develop and implement improved business processes for their application to an IT system in support of agency program policy. Works with users to develop or enhance system requirements. Prepares or reviews detailed functional specifications for complex IT systems development or enhancement projects to be used by developers for system coding. Participates in the development of detailed functional specifications for highly complex system development and enhancement projects. Prepares use cases or other types of requirements documentation. Assists with preparation of system change requests. Assists with the planning and prioritization of system changes. Assist with the creation of training materials. Troubleshoots system, data, or process problems. Prepares process flows to document for As Is and To Be business processes. Willing to assist with training, developing user guides or other Business Analyst activities when necessary Experience participating in Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis. Experience testing or documenting requirements related to accessibility of a software application. Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies. Experience developing User (stakeholder) requirements - are a very important part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will have to be correctly interpreted.
