Job Description: Role: Technical ETL Lead : Glue PySpark, LAMBDA, Aurora DB, EMR, and Athena. Type: Long Term Contract Location: Remote (USA) Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of skilled professionals in the implementation of data processing solutions using Glue PySpark, LAMBDA, Aurora DB, EMR, and Athena. Provide technical guidance and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient data processing architectures. Develop and maintain pipelines using Glue PySpark, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. Actively participate in the development of ETL processes, utilizing Glue PySpark and other relevant technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Leverage traditional ETL methodologies to integrate and transform data from various sources. Optimize existing ETL processes for performance and efficiency. Work with Aurora DB for data storage and retrieval, ensuring database performance and reliability. Utilize Athena for ad-hoc querying and analysis. Implement and optimize EMR clusters for big data processing tasks. Integrate Lambda functions to automate and orchestrate data workflows. Maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data models, and system architecture. Ensure knowledge transfer within the team and provide training as needed. Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10 years of hands-on experience with Glue PySpark, LAMBDA, Aurora DB, EMR, and Athena. Proven experience in traditional ETL processes and methodologies. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Excellent understanding of data modeling and database design principles. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a technical team. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certification in relevant services. Previous experience leading teams in a similar technical capacity. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
