Document existing data interfaces in the legacy system. Document existing downstream impacts of the legacy system. Document database process that currently extracts the data from the existing system for reporting purposes. Create data models and reverse and forward engineer data models in an AWS SQL Server environment. Define and document the technical architecture of the new transactional system, including the physical components and their functionality. Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support this migration project. Provide oversight and design of the migration and conversion of legacy data to the new database. Create scripts for data conversion and migration from legacy systems to new database platform. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 3 yrs. in a Data Architect role 3 yrs. Experience with data mining and archiving 3 yrs. Experience with managing RDBMS in AWS 5 yrs. Data modeling in SQL Server Enterprise Edition 5 yrs. Analyzing and generating technical requirements and design 5 yrs. Database tuning techniques 5 yrs. Creating source to target mapping database documentation 5 yrs. Assist with migrating data from legacy database to new target database 7 yrs. Creating and maintaining data models 7 yrs. Database development experience utilizing RDBMS 7 yrs. Design a SQL Server database for high usage/high availability transactional system 7 yrs. Analyzing source databases, source data, source database referential integrity and profiling source data 7 yrs. Experience with MS SQL Server DBMS Preferred: 5 yrs.
