Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions. Data Modeling: Work with data analysts and database administrators to design data models and schemas that support reporting needs. Query Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve and transform data for reporting purposes. Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data to business stakeholders. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of SSRS reports and data queries to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Data Integration: Collaborate with ETL developers to integrate data from various sources into SSRS reports. Security: Implement and maintain data security and access controls for SSRS reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of report specifications, data sources, and development processes. Testing and QA: Conduct thorough testing of reports to identify and resolve issues or discrepancies. ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS to move, transform, and integrate data from various sources into target systems. Data Transformation: Create complex data transformation packages and workflows to cleanse, enrich, and validate data as it moves through the ETL pipeline. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of SSIS packages to ensure data processing efficiency and reliability. Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects and database administrators to design and maintain data models that support ETL processes. Error Handling: Implement error handling and logging mechanisms to track and resolve data integration issues. Data Integration: Work with APIs, web services, and external data sources to streamline data integration processes. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of ETL processes, including data mappings, transformations, and dependencies. Security: Ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies during data integration. Testing and QA: Conduct thorough testing and validation of ETL processes to identify and address issues. Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and assist in their professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or commensurate work experience. Proven experience as an SSIS/SSRS Developer, with a minimum of 7 years experience developing and deploying SSRS reports. Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database concepts. Extensive knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience with data warehousing and data modeling techniques. Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles. Strong knowledge of SSRS, including report design, parameterization, and deployment. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. Ability to write efficient, optimized SQL queries.
