Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Data Modeler with expertise in Epic systems to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling principles, extensive experience working with Epic software, and a strong background in healthcare information systems. The Healthcare Data Modeler will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data models to support our organization's healthcare data needs. Responsibilities: Epic Data Modeling: Design and implement data models within the Epic system to facilitate efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of healthcare data. Work closely with Epic analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure the alignment of data models with organizational needs. Data Architecture: Collaborate with the data architecture team to develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture that supports the organization's healthcare data strategy. Ensure data models adhere to industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices. Database Management: Manage and optimize databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Develop strategies for data consolidation, integration, and migration. Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality, integrity, and security. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define data standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, database schemas, and related processes. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, and administrative staff, to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to data modeling and Epic system usage. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare data modeling. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of data-related workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a Healthcare Data Modeler with a focus on Epic systems. In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles, techniques, and tools. Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in database management, particularly with Epic Chronicles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Epic certification in relevant modules is a plus.
