Position : VBA Developer Location : Chicago , IL remote Duration : 6 +MONTHS Visa: : NO HAB /CPT Interview mode: Interview : Video Job Description A Magenium web-based interface that automates regular monthly Excel-based dashboard deliveries for clients. How it works: o Setup: For every new client, we must create a "template version of the client's report and upload it to our Magenium interface. Each template is actually an interactive Excel dashboard that includes 1 or more data extracts which are then pivoted, and visualized and formatted in charts and tables on client-facing tabs. Each client template differs from other client templates because they have different slicers included on different tabs, with occasional custom slicer inputs. They also have different data scopes, which we've solved for below in the next step... Once the client template is uploaded to the Magenium interface, we select the data parameters (geographies, product types, time periods, measures etc) that we want to include in the client's extract. The data extract tabs are fed directly by a Client API link which Magenium accesses for us. If there are multiple extracts in a single Excel report, we can specify in the Magenium portal which data scope corresponds to each extract tab in the Excel dashboard. o Ongoing delivery: Each month when new Client data comes in, we push a button on the Magenium interface which runs the newly refreshed Client API data in the existing client template. This button does the following steps automatically for us: Pull new Extract data from API (per specified data scope(s)) Open up client's template, paste the data, and refresh the pivot tables Hide backend tabs and lock the file so that clients cannot access the non client-facing tabs After the automated process above, we manually then 1) upload these refreshed files to a SharePoint folder and 2) send the clients their newly updated Excel dashboard report. What we want to build: We want to build off our work with Magenium to accomplish the following:: o Remove the need for individual client "template files and instead run reports from a "master template. These things need to happen to accomplish this: Automate the creation of new slicers and proper connections/formula edits Automate the creation of custom coded lists, which occasionally feed the slicers. o Remove the need for manual downloading + uploading + emailing These things need to happen to accomplish this: Be able to specify an "upload location when the files are done running Automate the client notification emails when the file is uploaded MD AFTAB ALAM US IT Recruiter ConvexTech Inc.
