Role: Senior Network Engineer Location: Madison, WI Onsite or Remote Candidates must be a Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate at the candidates expense. This is a hybrid position with 30% onsite required. Top Skills & Years of Experience: Cisco Route/Switch - 5 Years minimum Cloud Networking - Azure preferred - 5 years. Palo Alto Firewall - 3 years Cisco Wireless - 3 years Nice to Have Skills: We need an individual that is very self-driven to find and do the work required to move both our internal and cloud network forward. Additional details: On-Call is required, but its minimal, once a month for a week, with 1-2 calls maybe. On call time will not be paid for this position. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible to provide strategic planning, innovative solutions and advanced technical knowledge to design, implement and support enterprise voice, video and data services that align with the Companys business and IT objectives. This position will provide hands-on technical leadership and will manage simple and enterprise-wide projects from initiation to completion for the voice, video and data infrastructure, complex engineering environments. The Senior Network Engineer will partner with leaders in other business unit/operational areas to define requirements and develop architecture for scalable and reliable network infrastructure to meet present and future business needs. 1.Job Duty: Installation, maintenance and enhancements of a global Cisco wired and wireless network that delivers voice, video and data services Descriptive: Palo Alto experience. Cisco 9K Wireless. VOIP experience a plus. Cisco ISE and Cisco Prime DNAC. Ekahau experience. on corporate production and guest networks. 2. Job Duty: Coordinates and implements low to high risk network changes according to ITIL framework, independently to mission critical functional areas while following established designs and configurations already developed. Descriptive: Understanding and past experience with cloud environments a plus. Past experience writing processes/guidelines. 3. Job Duty: Assist with developing standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Establish and document standards and procedures for team review. Descriptive: Python experience a Plus. Solarwinds understanding a huge plus. 4. Job Duty: Perform work outside of normal business hours related but not limited to: on-call incident escalation and off-hours maintenance work. 5. Job Duty: Perimeter network security Firewalls. Descriptive: Working closely with Milwaukee County Security Team to maintain Palo Alto firewalls best practices and recommended policies based on business needs. 6. Job Duty: Azure Cloud Descriptive: We need someone experienced in Azure cloud, we are building the network framework and need it finalized.
