Job Title:: Big Data Engineer Location:: O'Fallon, Missouri (Day 1 On-Site- Hybrid Module- There is a requirement to be on-site 2 to 3 days a week- Person will be expected to be on-site DAY 1- The Client will only consider local candidates to OFallon, MO OR St. Louis, MO) Duration:: 12+ Month Contract MOI:: Glider Assessment Test then Video Interview (Please make sure before submitting any candidate that they need to complete the Online Glider Technical Test Within 48 Hours of test link shared by my Vendor- We have already faced multiple issues where consultant didnt took the test) $57-60/hr on C2C Max. (Need Candidates From Trusted Employer Company Only Where We Are In Business Currently OR In Past- The Candidates profiles should not be submitted to Dexian- Disys for the past 6 Month) Additional Notes From Vendors End: If you are submitting any candidate whose project is on-going with our current running Client then that candidate need to provide the current end date of the project and the name of the hiring manager so that we can verify for the same. We are looking for BANKING/FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY CANDIDATES MasterCard has been rejecting many submits lately for irrelevant industry experience, we will not send anyone without this industry experience. MUST HAVE SOLID COMPANIES STILL (BANKING/FINANCIAL SERVICES) more and more candidates are being rejected at time of review and passed on for candidates with stronger industry experience. What we continue to spot (and it is VERY easy to catch) is candidates are using a proxy to help take the test for them. NO MORE CHEATING ! We prefer a candidate to see a candidate who was honest and did their best rather than catch someone cheating. The number 1 giveaway is when code is being written on the screen and there is no sound of their keyboard being typed. This is obviously the proxy taking their test for them. I warn every single candidate not to cheat when I speak with them, but I guess thats not enough, so I am asking for your help. Going forward I expect you to also coach your consultant as well before they take their Glider. From now on if we get 3 cheating candidates from your company we will stop taking new resumes from your company for 1 month. This is getting out of hand. PLEASE tell your consultants to be honest when they take their Gliders and not to use any cheating software. I will keep reminding them as well. Open to taking multiple candidates. All 3 are the same skill-set. Data Analysis & Data Benchmarking. Preference on Python or ETL Data Pipeline skill would be good. If someone has Data Science knowledge, might dedicate one role to that person but primarily all 3 will be of the same role. Wants strong Data Analytical skills. Trying to migrate our legacy system into a modernized architecture. Concentrate on benchmarking and comparing with the new system. Top Skills: SQL or any data analysis, well versed with programming language- prefers python or even Java, spark helps Data Benchmarking Roles experience is ideal. Data Engineering background will help. With Benchmarking (we have a Hadoop system where big data comes into play a lot). Automating. On-Site Schedule: Flexible but come into the office 3x a week. The team will be based out of STL. Tues, Thurs for sure and the 3rd day unsure, but once a month will need to be in the office on a Monday or Friday . Interview at least 1 hour with video and technical/whiteboarding. Looking to hire as soon as possible start date will be set for 10 business days after the offer is made. Experience of building data pipelines through Spark with Java/Scala on Hadoop or Object storage. Experience of working with Databases like Oracle, Netezza and have strong SQL knowledge. Experience of working on Nifi will be an added advantage. Experience of working with APIs will be an added advantage. Experience and working in Unix environment is added advantage. Experience of working in Agile teams. Strong analytical skills required for debugging production issues, providing root cause and implementing mitigation plan. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, interface with external / internal resources and provide technical leadership to junior team members. Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
