Role: ORAN Engineers Location: On site 5 days per week Cheyenne, WY Relocation Assistance Available full time position/W2 Position Critical Skills: Telecommunications and Networking Knowledge: Understanding of mobile network architectures, including RAN, core networks, and transport networks. Familiarity with 4G and 5G technologies and protocols. Knowledge of O-RAN architecture and principles. O-RAN Specifications: Understanding of O-RAN Alliance specifications and documentation. Testing and Quality Assurance: Proficiency in testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design. Experience with different types of testing, including functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing. Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks. Standard Skills: Programming and Scripting: Coding skills in languages commonly used for test automation, such as Python, Java, or scripting languages. Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts. Linux and Virtualization: Familiarity with Linux operating systems. Understanding of virtualization technologies, as O-RAN often involves virtualized network functions. Networking Protocols: Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, and others relevant to mobile networks. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, system architects, and other team members. Ability to document and communicate testing processes and results. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate issues effectively. Nice-to-Have Skills: Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as testing often involves coordination with multiple stakeholders.
