Power BI Senior Developer (BI Report Migration)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Power BI Senior Developer to lead the migration of Business Intelligence (BI) reports from various platforms to Power BI. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of data visualizations and reports, enabling our organization to leverage the full potential of Power BI's capabilities. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of data visualization best practices, Power BI functionalities, and have a proven track record of successful BI report migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT personnel, to understand the requirements and objectives of the BI report migration project.
Evaluate existing BI reports on different platforms to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and optimization during the migration process.
Design and implement effective and efficient data models, data transformations, and relationships within Power BI to replicate the functionality of existing reports.
Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations that meet the needs of end-users and adhere to best practices in data visualization and user experience.
Migrate data sources, queries, calculations, and report elements from various platforms to Power BI, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and optimal performance.
Create and maintain documentation for data models, report designs, and data transformation processes, facilitating knowledge transfer and future enhancements.
Perform rigorous testing and quality assurance of migrated reports to identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors.
Collaborate with the data team to ensure a smooth integration of data sources, data pipelines, and refresh schedules within the Power BI ecosystem.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Stay updated with the latest trends, features, and best practices in Power BI and data visualization, and apply this knowledge to enhance the migration process and resulting reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and report development, with a strong focus on Power BI.
Proven track record of successfully leading and executing BI report migration projects, preferably involving multiple platforms and complex data sources.
Proficiency in data modeling, DAX calculations, and M query language within Power BI.
Strong understanding of data visualization best practices, user experience design, and interactive dashboard development.
Experience working with various data sources, including relational databases, APIs, Excel spreadsheets, and flat files.
Solid grasp of data integration and transformation concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to data, calculations, and performance within Power BI.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Relevant Power BI certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI) are a strong plus.
Familiarity with other BI tools and platforms is beneficial.

Site Reliability Engineering Manager
Location:  Fully remote working CST
Contract/contract to hire and Contract Length: 6+ months always potential to convert if they are in one of the office areas
Able to use or sponsor visas: no subvending or visa transfers.

10+ years experience in eCommerce business systems OR 10+ years Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Transportation
5+ years SRE or DevOps role
5+ years Scrum Agile methodology
Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions that are easily maintainable, understandable, and diagnosable
Able to write clear and consumable documentation
Track record of building and running high-performance teams
Extensive experience leading customer facing systems in a high uptime 24/7 environment
Expertise analyzing complex application, database, network, and OS issues across a distributed large scale customer facing system
System configuration management experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
Advanced experience with programming and/or scripting languages (Python, Java, bash)
Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture
High-level technical understanding (development methodologies, phases, etc)
Proven track record in working collaboratively across functional areas to get results
Interact effectively with representatives from Technology and Business Partners
