Systems Analyst focused on Documenting and Process flow Interview : Video Start and end Dates: 02/19/24 To 09/30/24 Short Description One BSA is needed to work on creating / documenting process flows, business process, data classification and types ( 8 month assignment expected). On Site Required: See below No parking provided for contractors Complete Description TO CONSIDER: Mgr will consider remote but prefers hybrid arrangement. Flexibility for remote work will be based on the experience level of the candidate. That will be determined by the mgr/team. Pls make sure your candidate is aware that they may be asked to come on site if mgr deems necessary, so we are keeping the work arrangement above as "hybrid" for now. Pls note: there is a difference in the DBHDS roles. This one is specifically focused on creating / documenting process flows, business process, data classification and types. Before you submit your BSA, pls make sure they understand the role, their resume reflects similar experience and submit them to the BSA that they are most interested in. ie: if they do not want to create /document process flow, do data classification, etc., then do not submit them to this role. If you submit them to this role then you are saying, if selected, they will be fine performing the tasks/responsibilities assigned around this work (outlined above). There is no guarantee that if you submit them to both DBHDS job reqs that they will be forwarded for both. Fit will be based on the details reflected in their resume that support the above need. ABOUT THE ROLE The Business System Analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Leads analysis and solution definition. Understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization. Identifies organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement. Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution. Develops functional and non-functional specifications, uses cases and system design specifications for systems. Conducts effective joint applications development and brainstorming sessions. Interviews and surveys subject matter experts and stakeholders together requirements. Understands the agile development and the universal modeling language. In addition to the above: The Business Systems Analyst specializes in analyzing, designing and implementing information systems. Systems analysts assess the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes and liaise with end users, software vendors and programmers to achieve these outcomes. Plans system data flow from the ground up. Writes technical requirements from a critical phase, interacts with software architect to understand software limitations. Helps programmers during system development, e.g., providing use cases, flowcharts, UML and BPMN diagrams. Documents requirements or contributes to user manuals. Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, of applicable programming languages, of computer hardware and software, of computer operating systems, of writing program code, and of automated mapping. Ability to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, to communicate effectively, and to train others. Identify, understand and plan for organizational and human impacts of planned systems, and ensure that new technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processes and skill sets.
