Job Title : Snowflake architect Location : Cincinnati, OH - onsite from day 1 Duration : 12 months Job Details: As part of our Enterprise Data and Analytics initiative, we are looking for a consultant Snowflake data architect who is an expert with Snowflake and has the ability to architect Snowflake data mart, work with our Internal technology team as well as the Data Engineering team to implement a data mart solution. This position is currently funded from February - June 2024 with a possibility to extended through the end of the year. Background The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati is part of the Federal Home Loan Bank System, a national network of 11 District Banks. The Cincinnati District Bank is designated as the Fifth FHLBank District that includes Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. Our industry is highly regulated by federal oversight to ensure safe and sound operations and practices. BUSINESS NEED/OPPORTUNITY The Data and analytics organization is on the third year of our data initiative Ethos. We are in the process of standing up the technology and building a new data mart using Snowflake. We are looking for a Snowflake Data Architect with experience designing a new Data Warehouse/data mart. The project involves building a new data mart for our Enterprise Risk department, enabling the business to bring in new external data sets via Snowflake Marketplace and or other sites and finally be able to implement risk models in R/Python with this snowflake DataMart. This position is open from February June 2024 with a possibility to extend. PURPOSE FOR THE REQUEST FOR QUOTE Responsibilities Lead and support our infrastructure team to architect, configure and implement Snowflake. Integrate Snowflake with our existing technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Tableau. Import at least 1 external dataset (Probably S&P Global) using Snowflake marketplace. Create Datamart for our internal Enterprise Risk Management department. Enable R/Python modeling with Snowpark Required Skills A seasoned Snowflake architect who can have solutions in a reasonable time. Provides most efficient, secure and sustainable solution after weighing out all the options based on all the resources available at the bank and outside the bank. Champions and educates the team on the features of Snowflake. Prior experience coaching teams in Snowflake adoption Excellent technical communication/collaboration skills Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at Snowflake implementation in ambiguous environments Elective Skills Experience in banking or a financial industry or another FHLB.
