Job Description/ Position Description

Office 365 Administrator with 8-12 years of hands-on expertise in managing and supporting Office 365 environments. The role will perform day-to-day administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of Atlantic Shores organization's O365 services. This position requires a solid understanding of Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, Who can work without supervision and can communicate with clients/business users when required. Should be able to understand the requirements and support them. Must be able to guide and mentor team members technically.

Job Role/ Duties and responsibilities

Manage and administer user accounts, groups, and permissions within the Office 365 environment.

Support and optimize collaboration tools:

Exchange Online

SharePoint Online

Teams

OneDrive for Business

Azure AD

Intune Endpoint Management

Compliance Manager

Assist in the integration of O365 services with other collaboration platforms and applications.

Provide second-level support for end-users, resolving issues related to O365 services.

Collaborate with the helpdesk to address and escalate user-reported problems effectively.

Implement and enforce security policies and practices for Office 365.

Security Configuration:

Implement and maintain security policies and controls within Microsoft 365.

Configure and monitor identity and access management settings.

Stay informed about updates and new features within the Office 365 suite.

Licensing and Subscription Management:

Monitor and manage Microsoft 365 licenses and subscriptions.

Optimize licensing to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.

Documentation:

o Create and maintain documentation for O365 configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP):

Implement and manage DLP policies to protect sensitive information.

Monitor and respond to DLP incidents and alerts.

Collaboration with CLIENT IT Teams:

o Work closely with other IT professionals, including security analysts, developers, and support specialists, to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

o Monitor the health and performance of Microsoft 365 services.

o Conduct routine system maintenance and apply updates and patches as needed.

Provide basic training to end-users on Office 365 applications and features.

Collaborate with the training team to develop training materials and resources.

Candidate will be responsible for O365/M365 administration and knowledge of Power Platform is a definite plus.

Must be able to do POC/PoV on M365 components.

Must understand the dos and donts with in the Client environment and strictly adhere to them.

Candidate should have good knowledge Power scripts required to perform / automate the configurations.

Should be self-motivated to learn new things and be focused.

Should be able to provide annual roadmap and plan of O365 admin activities and agreed with CLIENT IT manager/Application portfolio Manager.

Should be innovative and be able to communicate their ideas/suggestions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Primary Skill:

- Handson experience in O365 administration

- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.

- Proficient in Power scripting for basic automation tasks.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge on SharePoint development & deployment

- Experience in using the Security Center and Compliance Center for monitoring and managing security and compliance-related configurations.

- Implementation and management of conditional access policies to control access based on various conditions and factors.

- Administration of Microsoft Teams, including user and team management, channel configurations, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services.

Secondary Skill:

- Good oral and written communication

- Flexibility to pick up any work assigned in the said technology

- Positive attitude

Technologies required:/ Selected Skills

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Power Platform.

Proficiency in SharePoint Online administration, site collection management, permissions, and configuration of document libraries and lists.

Knowledge of identity and access management concepts within Azure Active Directory (AAD), including user and group management, conditional access policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Architectural knowledge is a plus.

Reporting

This role will report to Application portfolio manager

Back up

Contractor shall ensure necessary back-up to the resource during leave period (more than 3 days) to avoid disruption in services and support.
