Position: BMC Software Helix/Remedy Developer, No H1B Location: Houston, TX (Must be a local candidate) Duration: 6+ Month MOI: Phone and Video HR Title: System Specialist/Software Developer II Working Title: BMC Software Helix/Remedy Developer Location: Houston, TX (100% Onsite) Must be a local candidate living in the Greater Houston area. Update: I just got off the phone with EPCO and here is what I learned. BMC is the company that created Remedy and they have upgraded the application and are now calling it Helix. EPCO is upgrading their Remedy system to Helix 22.03 which is very different because it is containerized with Kubernetes. EPCO doesnt have anyone on their team that knows this new technology and they really want someone to come in and manage that upgrade that has the Helix/containerization experience. If they cant find that person, they might take someone that is a Remedy SME that can take over the Remedy backlog while the current employees learn the new technology. This person would have to be an expert that requires no hand holding and a bit of a reduced bill rate. This team is working on a second project that is migrating an old (15 years) in house-built application to Helix. The home-grown application is a workflow app and Helix has a module that will take over this function. Note: This application is on-prem but its no different than the cloud version. Candidates on the cloud version are sometimes averse to working on-prem because they feel they are going backwards but with this application that is not the case. Requirements: 5+ years of ITSM experience Remedy/Helix Dashboards Advanced Digital Workplace Catalog Module Advanced Business Workflow Module Kubernetes containerization Logistics: Prefer the candidate be onsite 5 days a week. Will consider hybrid. Will consider someone out of the Houston area if they can spend the 1st week onsite in Houston and then come to the office a minimum of once per month. When you submit, please specify the candidates work location requirements. Contract is scheduled for 1 year but if they get more funding this can extend, they have a lot of work to do and maintenance after the migrations are complete. Interview: 30 minute Zoom with Manager, 1-2 hour onsite with Technical Team Will consider a small bill rate increase for Helix 22.03 SMEs. Decrease the bill rate for Remedy SME (no Helix).
