Title: Qlik Sense Developer Location: Stamford, CT Duration: 12+Months Experience: 8-10Yrs Note: Please do not submit OPT, CPT & H4 Job Description: Work closely with team members and stakeholders to identify functional and system requirements Work with team in resolving any issues that arise with dashboards, tasks, user access. Install the Qlik Sense Application - expand clusters, add new clusters - rare but important. Configure the application Add/Remove/Maintain Data sources Manage dashboard deployments Maintain Security Rules Add/Remove/Modify as needed Periodic evaluation of clusters with team management Design, develop and implement data marts with quality and integrity at the top of mind to support our products. Create documentation to support knowledge sharing including flowcharts and diagrams. Provide oversight and guidance to our Data Engineering development team. Read and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical models Understand data modeling concepts and their application: entities and tables, relations and constraints, attribute data types and column data types Essential Skills: Experience in creating data queries and reports using Well View, Qliksense, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, and Excel. Experience in creating custom queries/reports designed for quality verification and information sharing. Round the clock monitoring of Jobs that are running in production and taking necessary action when there are issues. Implementation of Production Changes during the scheduled days and providing post-production support Performance tuning of dashboards was carried out to limit the response time to well under 5 secon Calculation and defining server sizing for optimal performance of Qliksense dashboards. Hands-on exp with Qliksense 9.x, upgrade to 10.x, SQL Server 2008, Excel files, flat files. Handling of adhoc reporting and feed requests from production and ensuring to provide monthly and quarterly feeds to finance and Internal audit teams Checking on any long running production jobs and doing any performance tuning activities to ensure jobs are moving faster. Gathering source system maintenance/downtimes during weekends and informing to business about metrics impact Ensuring on-time delivery of metrics, outbound feeds, etc. Verifying and making sure that Microsoft Analysis services cubes are processed properly and reports are published properly in the reporting environment Working with Database Administrators for any DB related issues Analyzing problems, determining root cause, reporting on problem status, etc., for network and desktop (application hardware and software) issues Activities associated with incident analysis, resolution and tracking, problem-related task forces, developing and running of utilities and recoveries Analyzing and performance tuning of daily running jobs in production. Re-design & develop the jobs when there is a better way of getting the things done. Desirable Skills: BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field 3-5 years of experience using Qlik or related Business Intelligence technologies such as Web Focus, Tableau, Power BI Deep understanding of high-performant data concepts such as file stores, wide column databases, key-value pairs, etc. Excellent oral and written communication Excellent problem-solving skills Highly analytical with the ability to work independently OTHER VALUABLE SKILLS: Prior experience with; Hadoop, Kafka Agile/Scrum methodologies Keywords: business analyst business intelligence database rlang golang Connecticut |
