Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator with expertise in managing and optimizing SQL databases, along with proficiency in Fivetran, a data integration platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, performance tuning, and data integration to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems and the efficient flow of data through Fivetran. Responsibilities: Database Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related components. Monitor database performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal performance. Data Integration with Fivetran: Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to implement and manage Fivetran connectors for various data sources. Configure and customize Fivetran to meet specific business requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data. Performance Tuning: Conduct performance analysis and implement tuning strategies to enhance database efficiency. Optimize queries, indexes, and other database elements to improve overall system performance. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard sensitive data. Ensure databases comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data. Test and document database recovery procedures. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to address database-related requirements. Provide technical support and expertise to resolve database-related issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, preferably with Fivetran experience. Strong proficiency in SQL query optimization and performance tuning. Experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions using Fivetran. Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
