Job Position : NCDOT - Technical Specialist- Senior Job Location : 1020 Birch Ridge Drive Raleigh, NC 27610 Job Duration : 1 Year Job ID : 728967 Job Description : Responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using various tools and frameworks. Also mentor and teach other team members on automation fundamentals and best practices. Minimum 5 years Test Automation Experience. **This is a hybrid position. The manager expects the candidate to come onsite a couple times a quarter. The manager requires a candidate that's in North Carolina. The candidate will need to come onsite the first day to collect equipment. NCDOT is seeking a person with an advanced technical knowledge of Test Automation to design, write and maintain Test Automation Frameworks and to mentor team members developing these skills. This will be a 12-month engagement and onward. This position will support the DIT DMV Enterprise Systems Testing and Performance Team. This position will support duties consistent of assisting in improving the quality and efficiency of our software development process. The position will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using various tools and frameworks. It will also mentor and teach other team members on automation fundamentals and best practices. Responsibilities: Design and implement test automation scripts using OpenText ALM and UFT test suite. Identify and resolve automation issues and challenges. Collaborate with software developers and SQA analysts to ensure the quality and functionality of the software products. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on automation scripts. Mentor and participate in cross-training with other team members on automation fundamentals and techniques. Additional Skills and Ability requirements are detailed below: Minimum 5 years of experience with VB scripting to create/modify code for test cases Experience with test management tools such as ALM or Jira Excellent communication, program-solving, and analytical skills Experience with developing test automation scripts and timely maintenance of the scripts as per the changes in the application Solid knowledge of SQL to query DB2 data and verify results. Minimum 10 years experience with manual test execution - Test Scenario and Test Case Writing - Test Metrics and reporting Experience with Automated Testing products such as Tricentis Tosca, Cypress or Selenium, Jira. OpenText ALM and UFT. Experience with UFT's Business Process Testing (BPT) framework, creating mainframe automation scripts using UFT, and Performance testing preferred.
