Please find the below JD and share your interest, Role: CaaS Platform Engineer Location: Houston, TX Description: The Senior Platform Engineer for CaaS is responsible for designing and delivering solutions that leverage Container products for consumption by service teams inside client, spanning Application Development activity through to Application Maintenance and Operations. The Senior Platform Engineer for CaaS acts a subject matter expert on the container products provided by the team. Key Dimensions: People Responsibility Technology Responsibility Financial Responsibility Key Accountabilities: End to end ownership of container product features, for both new container deployments and support of existing container in the Cloud and On-Premise (Own the product as a Service). Ensure seamless integration of services that underpin a given container product, including internal services from central client and external services such as Cloud. Define container product blueprints for on-premise and cloud, in conjunction with Architecture, ensuring standard client infrastructure building blocks are utilized appropriately. Develop, implement, and maintain the technical product characteristics (capacity scale-up / scale-out, performance monitoring, fault tolerance, etc.) necessary to ensure all non-functional requirements are met. Develop, implement, and maintain underpinning capability required by app products such as deployment tooling, application monitoring, and app product configuration management. Work with Software Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Application Developers to ensure the database product standards meet functional and non-functional requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain standards, documentation, and repeatable processes for operational support of container products including managing the handover of new container products / technology to Operations Teams. Drive continuous improvement of all aspects of container products, including automation of deployment tasks, simplification of monitoring and operational support, and year-on-year reduction in incidents related to container products. Constantly drive standardization and simplification of container products via server and design rationalization. Define the roadmap & deliver upgrades of container product technologies. Ensure that Digital Security and Compliance considerations have been addressed for all container product implementations. Understand the impacts of change on production systems Essential Education: Educated to Degree level or equivalent AWS Certified Solutions Architect at the Associate level ITIL Service Management Foundation, Certified Scrum Master, PMP, or TOGAF certification. Essential Experience and Job Requirements: Expert level container and system level tuning experience In-depth knowledge of multiple container product technologies such as Azure AKS, AWS EKS, OpenShift In-depth container operations experience (Application or Infrastructure support) with experience of the DevOps/DevSecOps operating model enabling self-service management by application development teams In-depth knowledge of fault tolerance, load balancing, and disaster recovery technologies as they relate to container products In-depth knowledge of scripting and code frameworks Experience supporting development teams and have the ability to communicate insight to developers and architects on the operational impact and requirements of container products Experience working globally, working across different cultures and time zones and being part of virtual teams. Experience in the Agile software manufacturing processes Able to consult with application managers and support teams to resolve critical escalated incidents relating to the container product design Able to consult with project managers and application managers on request fulfillment escalations Able to communicate the technical aspects of all container product lines and engineering capabilities to clients Able to write technology standards, guidelines, and processes to operate all product lines Able to manage and lead technical projects required to implement, upgrade, and enhance new and existing customer container to new versions of container product lines Able to think strategically, translate that strategy into technical requirements, and see those requirements through to implementation and BAU support Able to deal with a broad set of activities across a wide stakeholder group and manage ambiguity well. Experience with software development methods (Java / .Net) and/or shell languages such as C#, Python, PowerShell, and JAVA Experience with tools like Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, ServiceNow Capable of working with other technical teams to install in-house developed and vendor provided software and integrate software on various operating systems, including Windows, Unix, and Linux Business / Domain experience is highly desirable or demonstrated ability to learn new concepts rapidly in line with changes to cloud technologies. Eligibility Requirements: Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Location) Must have the right to work in the country and/or US state where this role is based. No relocation support will be offered.
