Of the Americas, New York (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Month MOI: Phone and Video Critical skills/technologies: Strong Windows and Linux/Redhat experience/support scripting and ansible experience. **Job Title:** Vulnerabilities, Patch & Obsolescence Management SSD Systems Engineer/Server Storage Database Engineer **Summary of Position:** The position requires a thorough understanding of business requirements and adherence to change control process constraints. The primary responsibility involves serving the business and accommodating end users. The candidate will play a pivotal role in monitoring servers infrastructure, focusing on vulnerabilities & patch management, and servers obsolescence. Technical expertise and knowledge of various end-users technologies are crucial, along with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical terms. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** **Technical Support:** - Manage and support CLIENT Servers Infrastructure - Collaborate with the SSD group to identify End-Of-Life systems and provide planning and execution - Support Windows server security remediation and patch management via SCCM (Windows 2012-2019) and MECM - Provide support for application patching/security package deployment - Coordinate with hardware/software vendors for issue resolution - Perform troubleshooting to diagnose hardware and software issues **Proactive System Monitoring, Analysis, and Documentation:** - Analyze and monitor server infrastructure components proactively to ensure maximum uptime - Manage accurate inventory information for server equipment - Create and maintain server administration documentation and IT support documents - Work with internal and external IT auditors to provide necessary audit evidence and documentation **Project Work:** - Document project requirements and propose solutions for replacing End-Of-Life systems - Manage project plans and execution, reporting project status from start to finish - Enforce policies and procedures for project and task management, exercising best practices in system installation, configuration, redundancy, and system monitoring - Collaborate with local/global IT teams to achieve short- and long-term goals, actively participating in all project phases - Manage remediation of server-related issues regularly to meet business requirements - Assess hardware and software upgrade needs, maintaining systems up to date - Design, plan, implement, and maintain scripts and automation tools to automate tasks **Requirements:** - 5+ years experience in overall IT - Excellent communication skills - Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, or related field preferred - Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments, making sound decisions in emergency situations - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities - Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments - Experience with SCCM and knowledge/experience with VMWare - Red Hat Server support experience is a plus Keywords: information technology |
