Duration: 12+ months, possible contract to hire MOI: Skype Must Haves: Microsoft Team Foundation Server MS Visual Studio Windows Azure Platform Oil & Gas or Energy client experience. Description: Reviews both business and technical requirements for software applications to ensure that they are clear, complete and testable. Gains expert level knowledge of business processes and supporting applications either developed by or implemented at Enterprise Products. Responsible for test planning for new and existing software applications. Covers all types of testing needed to ensure a high quality application, including but not limited to: feature/functionality, deployment and configuration, performance, integration and usability. Tracks coverage, progress and result of testing in software application lifecycle management tool. Develops and supports harnesses enabling rapid, repeatable and reportable test execution. Automates test scenarios with goals to reduce the time and cost of testing over the lifecycle of the application, and to improve test coverage / depth. Tracks quality of application (readiness for release) by working directly with the development team to ensure that issues are found/fixed in an expedited manner. Files and tracks software defects in software application lifecycle management tool. Ensures that standards for development and quality are defined and tracked accordingly. Monitors software quality issues that are detected after release, triages issues and works with development team to expedite fixes. May perform other duties as assigned by management in support of Enterprises ability to deliver and maintain high quality applications. Work Experience: 5+ years of experience leading and managing testing efforts for large enterprise/IT projects across multiple teams Working knowledge and experience with runtime memory analysis and code profiling tools (desired) Strong general IT application and networking knowledge, including load balancing, networking, active directory, .net applications, messaging middleware, virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere. Basic SQL experience, ability to create complex queries to analyze data; backup and restore data, model and create or alter data as needed to support testing scenarios. Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to convey complex ideas via verbally and in writing face means, to work with developers, DBAs, business analysts to drive quality and ensure that we are efficiently building and releasing software applications. Strong stance for quality, able to convey details of, impact and exposure of software quality issues to development teams and leaders. Development background with 4+ years of programming or test automation development experience. Education: Bachelors degree from a 4 year accredited university in Computer Science, CIS/MIS, or equivalent experience.
