Or equivalent work experience. 6 Experience 1.Must have experience with Information Builders, Inc (IBI) WebFOCUS/iWay products and related server environments. 2.IIS Administration. 3.Network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions. 4.Typically has 7-10 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software), and optimization. 5.3 to 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration. 6.Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design, and Implementation, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal. 7.Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation systems and applications. 8.Development process knowledge or experience a plus. 7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks This resource will primarily be tasked with performing WebFOCUS server and application software support activities for OIT Application Services including, but not limited to the following: 9.Support and expand FDOT infrastructure as needed. 10.Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties (AST, FDOT, and contractors). 11.Troubleshoot end user issues. 12.Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades. 13.Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading network and computer systems. 14.Provide resource support to upgrade, configure, and optimize the Departments WebFOCUS server environment. 15.Facilitation with OIT staff resource to provide knowledge and skills transfer. 16.Assist with configuring WebFOCUS server security. 17.Assist the Department in leveraging new features in the product such as App Studio and Deferred Execution (a possible replacement for mainframe batch processing), and new features in existing products such as ReportCaster (Report Library). 18.Assist in modernizing the Departments WebFOCUS application development environment. 19.Assist impacted business units with migration effort. 20.Assist with proactive application architecture and tuning to get the most benefit out of the Departments distributed WebFOCUS environment. 21.Provide proactive review, adjusting, tuning and optimization of the Departments WebFOCUS & iWay servers. 22.Provide for the concentrated oversight and review of vendor patches, maintenance releases and upgrades to the server. 23.Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise. 24.Reviews, advises, and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs benefits, and impact on the enterprise business processes and goals. 25.Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. 26.Assists in the development of and manages the architecture governance process. 27.Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. 28.Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprises architecture needs. 8 Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The submitted candidate must be able to apply the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: 29.Strong familiarity with all Information Builders, Inc (IBI) WebFOCUS/iWay products and related server environments. 30.Experience establishing systems by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. 31.Experience monitoring systems and applications to ensure security, availability and performance. 32.Ability to maintain network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor. 33.Experience using Microsoft Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools. 34.Ability to secure systems by developing systems access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. 35.The ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize, work with minimal supervision, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment. 36.Experience establishing systems specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements. 37.Ability to prepare users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support. 38.Experience upgrading systems by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. 39.Ability to provide senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprises overall systems architecture.
