| Hi, Please find job description below; Work Auth :- USC || GC Only Job Title :- SCCM Patch Engineer Project Duration :- 12+ MONTHS Location :- Onsite Hybrid Woodbury, NJ Mode is Interview :- 2 Virtual interview Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patching servers and extensive experience in installing updates. The Patch Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. Key Responsibilities: Patch Management: Assess and identify the patches applicable to the systems and software in use. Develop and implement patch management strategies to ensure systems are updated with minimal impact on operations. Regularly review and analyze patches that could potentially impact the stability or performance of system and network infrastructure. Server Maintenance: Monitor the performance of servers and conduct regular health checks to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve server issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Coordinate with the IT team for the timely repair and maintenance of servers. Update Implementation: Oversee the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patches. Test and evaluate updates and patches before full-scale implementation to minimize risks. Coordinate with various teams to facilitate the installation of updates during least-impact time frames. Compliance and Security: Ensure that patching and updates adhere to the security policies and compliance standards of the organization. Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities by keeping systems up-to-date. Document all patching activities, including testing and deployment details, for compliance and auditing purposes. Technologies and Tools: Patch Management Software: Experience with tools such as WSUS (Windows Server Update Services), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), or similar patch management software. Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of various operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or UNIX and their respective patching tools and processes. Automation Tools: Familiarity with automation software like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline the patching process. Virtualization Technologies: Experience with virtualization tools like VMware or Hyper-V for patching in virtualized environments. Security Tools: Knowledge of security tools and software, vulnerability assessment tools, and endpoint protection solutions to ensure secure patching processes. Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating routine tasks and custom patch deployment scripts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5~~@~~ Years of experience as a Patch Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of patching processes and best practices.
