Please see the job description below for your reference Role : Apigee Developer Location : Atlanta GA Duration : 6+ Months Responsibilities: API Strategy and Design: Develop and implement API strategies aligned with business goals. Design scalable and secure APIs that meet industry best practices. Apigee Implementation: Lead the implementation of Apigee API management platform. Configure and customize Apigee to meet the specific needs of the organization. API Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire API lifecycle, including API creation, versioning, publishing, and retirement. Ensure proper documentation and communication throughout the lifecycle. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect APIs and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Implement OAuth, API keys, and other security mechanisms. Integration with Backend Systems: Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and other enterprise applications. Ensure seamless data flow and optimal performance. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of APIs. Implement caching, load balancing, and other techniques to enhance API efficiency. Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and design APIs that support these requirements. Provide guidance on API usage. Troubleshooting and Support: Address and resolve issues related to APIs. Provide support for developers and other stakeholders using the Apigee platform. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in API management and implement best practices accordingly. Qualifications: Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Apigee API management platform. Familiarity with other API management tools is a plus. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js. Understanding of RESTful API design principles. Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of API security principles and best practices. Experience with implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms. Integration Experience: Hands-on experience in integrating APIs with various backend systems, databases, and cloud services. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API implementation. Project Management: Experience in managing API projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Certifications: Relevant certifications in Apigee or other API management platforms are a plus.
