The position s essential duties include the following: Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of company databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues; Formulates and implements backup procedures for all company databases; Perform database related development as dictated by departmental or project demands; Experience with cloud database technologies (ie. AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure) Familiarity with AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.); Exposure to the automation tools /scripting or processes; Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle; Solid technical experience as a Database Administrator, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills; DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is must; Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) | Request for Resumes 4 Hands-on experience with operating high-uptime Databases in both AWS and on-premises environments; Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution; Must be able to demonstrate experience with performance management/measurement methods, tools, and techniques; Ability to organize and plan work independently. TYPE OF EXPERIENCE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 4 6 years of increasing responsibility administering, optimizing, and maintaining PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. Demonstrated skill of formulating best practice recommendations for database operations, including backup strategy, data security and cloud platform.
