Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle DBA with a specialization in Goldengate, specifically to support large databases and facilitate AWS cloud migration. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Oracle RAC and Dataguard, alongside proficiency in replication technologies such as Shareplex and, crucially, Goldengate. An AWS certification would be considered a significant advantage. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal part in the migration of databases to the AWS cloud, necessitating close collaboration with offshore teams and application developers. With over 10 years of extensive experience, the candidate should demonstrate mastery in various facets including: - **Oracle RAC**: Proficiency in building, patching, upgrading, and overall management of Oracle Real Application Clusters. - **Oracle Dataguard**: Expertise in setting up and maintaining Oracle Dataguard configurations for high availability and disaster recovery. - **Shareplex/Golden Gate**: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in implementing and managing data replication solutions, particularly with Goldengate being a focal point. - **AWS**: Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly in the context of database migration and management. - **Performance Tuning**: Proven ability to optimize database performance for efficiency and scalability. - **Backup and Recovery**: Experience in designing and implementing robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and continuity. - **Security**: Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices. - **Project Management**: Capability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and quality results. - **DR Setup**: Proficiency in disaster recovery setup and management to ensure business continuity. - **OGG Setup Migration/Flash Cut**: Experience in migrating and transitioning databases using Goldengate setup, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
