Someone experience in executing data governance framework (everything org needs to make sure data is managed correctly, executed correctly, etc) Policies, processes, framework. Excellent communicate and adept at consensus building Keywords : policies, guidelines, standards, critical data elements, data governance, data stewards Data Governance Program Director Job Summary Assists in developing a long-term strategy to support a federated data governance model for internal Data Management & Governance efforts. Develops and executes strategies designed to improve understanding of business process, data flow, data governance and data quality. Provides leadership, subject matter expertise and process support related to business processes, data flow design and documentation. Identifies trusted data sources and key processes for data consumers and creators. Facilitates best practices between all stakeholders regarding data governance practices. Leads the activities of the Data Governance council(s) and work group(s). Collaborates with data partners such as Information Security, Legal and Enterprise Information Technology. Leads work teams with various stakeholders, such as Plan workgroups, promoting understanding and driving consensus on complex questions and issues. Leads data quality and metadata software evaluation, selection, and implementation. Creates enterprise processes to drive improvements in data quality and support data quality operations. Drives data quality efforts for the organization, including creation of business rule definitions and requirements for analytic reports and data quality measures. Supports data analytics and data delivery efforts to include guidance on proper data selection, data relationships, creation of reports / analytics and quality review of department work products. Coordinate activities with those of other Data Governance team members to maximize team effectiveness. Maintains awareness of industry best practices, software, and emerging trends in the competitive environment. Primary Job Functions Leads data quality efforts to build and implement the data quality program, including strategy development and execution, tool evaluation, pilot application and meeting data quality needs with emergent technologies for a federated data governance environment. Prioritize data quality issues, lead remediation and resolution efforts. Develops root cause analysis that will lead to improved data creation/modification practices. 30% Provides input and subject matter expertise and assists data governance team members and other stakeholders in the creation and implementation of data governance policy. Policies will promote the safe and effective use of organization and healthcare-system data and technology assets including emerging technologies such as AI / Generative AI. 30% Provides leadership and subject matter expertise for business process and data flow design as well as creation and maintenance of metadata for company information assets. Facilitates the creation and maintenance of comprehensive business process and annotated data flow diagrams. Identifies trusted data sources and key processes for data consumers and creators. 20% Leads the activities of the Data Governance council(s) and work group(s) including guidance and subject matter expertise, production of collateral materials, leading / driving discussion and decisions and identifying and driving the resolution of data and process issues. 20% Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Broad and deep understanding of health care data and health insurance business process and operations preferably in a healthcare environment. Understanding of data governance, preferably in a federated environment. Working knowledge of data quality best practices, including data profiling and issue resolution. Working knowledge of health insurance standard datasets. Working knowledge of business process design and modeling. Working knowledge of data flow creation and documentation. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and information in the development of deliverables. Analytical skills with data and business processes, i.e., the ability to analyze complex business and data issues and develop and prioritize alternate courses of action to address them. Relationship management skills: ability to develop key business partnerships both internal and external, build peer relationships; ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams, demonstrated interpersonal skills for building and fostering key relationships Effective organization, presentation, negotiation, and communications skills (oral and written).
