Position:Devops Kubernetes Platform Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: Must Haves:5+ years of experience within a DevOps environment as a systems administrator. 1+ years specializing inKubernetes, specifically OpenShift or Rancher. Expertise in supporting OpenShift or Rancher as aPlatformEngineer. Experience setting up and configuringKubernetesclusters from scratch. Experience configuring day two features and capabilities withinKubernetesclusters. Experience with Linux OS and virtualization (as a system admin). US Citizen, ability to obtain a clearance. OpenShift or Rancher /KubernetesPlatformEngineerto sit 100% remote for one of our top clients in the defense space who is building out a new Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) organization. This team serves to support both classified and unclassified environments and will be responsible for maintaining the OpenShift and Rancherplatformsand work closely with thesoftwaredevelopment organization. We are looking for an individual with OpenShift or Rancher andKubernetesexperience who can maintain the health and operations of theplatform, as they will be responsible for the health of theplatformitself. They will be responsible for monitoring, capacity planning, supporting OpenShift and Rancher within VMWare and cloud environments. He or she must be able to set up aKubernetescluster from scratch and make decisions on what hardware to install within OpenShift and Rancher on and how to properly manage containers in the environment. This individual will also need to have automation experience with Ansible or Terraform in order to deploy patching to theplatformitself. This individual will need to be able to understand how to orchestrate containers, how to bring it onto theplatformand how to monitor it. This individual will not be building out containers -- there is a separateSoftwareFactory that will be responsible for building out thesoftwarecontainers and building pipelines to OpenShift and Rancher. This individual should, however, understand this process, and be comfortable giving direction / making decisions on theplatform. |
