Role: Oracle System Administrator Location: Remote Client: Wipro Summary: Daily responsibilities include full lifecycle support of Oracle Linux, building, provisioning, and onboarding, administration and support of Linux Servers in virtualization environment In Oracle PCA (private cloud appliance) with ZFS storage appliances and system administration of engineered systems including Exadata, Exalogic and supercluster environment for hosted applications. Support includes using DevOps tool sets such as Ansible, Chef, Dockers, and GitHub to provide smooth operation of the environment and automation in deployment. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of security requirements, remediate security findings and vulnerabilities. Help create and maintain SOPs. To be successful in this challenging and critical role, the candidate will be expected to have the following: will possess many years of working experience in large multi-site environments, expert knowledge of OEL & RHEL, in-depth knowledge, and real-world experience in automation, be able to troubleshoot & mitigate issues. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the system administration projects independently and with accountability. Point person for Oracle Engineered system administration involving installation, administration, and support of Oracle Private Cloud Appliances (PCA)s, Exadata, Super Clusters and Exalogic appliance machines with virtualization of Oracle Linux (OEL) platform. Strong expertise in ZFS storage provisioning and support. Migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure from OnPrem. DevOps experience using Ansible, Chef, Dockers and GitHub. Deploying best practices in provisioning and support of Linux VMs, Patching, Vulnerability remediation, Audit, and compliance support. Production support, Disaster recovery exercises, Data center migrations and On-Call Rotation and troubleshooting. Install, and support highly scalable, available, reliable, and secure Infrastructure platform for database/business applications. Strong Automation skills using shell scripting, python and related tools. Experience in using monitoring tools such as OEM, Splunk, Dynatrace, Zabbix etc. Uphold enterprise policy guidelines, and recommend best practices. Reporting to leadership, closely work with various enterprise teams and Documentation. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of strong and advanced Linux (RedHat or Oracle) system administration experience, in Oracle Engineered systems such as Private Cloud Appliances (PCA), Exadata, Exalogic and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) with ZFS storage experience. 3+ years of strong DevOps experience with Ansible/GitHub automation and Docker exposure.
