Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable. Seven (7) or more years of experience in a Business Intelligence (BI), Data Engineer, or ETL role; FDC RFQ-24-053 4 Proven experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL) databases and Microsoft SQL Server; Proficiency in writing complex and optimized SQL queries; Experience with SQL functions, stored procedures, triggers, and views; Understanding of SQL query performance tuning and optimization; Extensive experience with one or more database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar; Knowledge of database administration, maintenance, backup, and recovery; Ability to design and implement robust database schemas; Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes; Understanding of normalization, indexing, and other optimization techniques; Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R, Java, or C# for data manipulation and script writing; Experience with database Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and connecting applications to databases; Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar for reporting and data visualization; Demonstrated ability to solve complex data-related problems; Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases; Proven experience in ETL tools and processes and in data migration projects; Proficient understanding of data warehousing methodologies; Proven proficiency with Microsoft Power BI for creating dashboards and reports; Proven experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data quality concepts; Proven proficiency in SQL and other data languages; Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders; Must be able to clearly convey information and ideas in both written and verbal forms to share information and ideas and resolve issues; Strong written and verbal communication skills required; Ability to communicate or interact professionally and tactfully with people of different levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences and exhibit respect to others; and Organizational skills with strong attention to detail including the ability to adequately establish time frames and deadlines, meet deadlines, and follow through on tasks and assignments.
