Software Application Engineer Houston, TX (Required Local to Houston) Sogeti/ Axiom Space DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable business applications. Interface with APIs to extract and manipulate data to meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address complex business needs. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Thorough knowledge of systems design, scripting development, implementation, user support principles and practices C atalog up to date documentation on Application Specification, Requirements, and architectural design documents Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance development processes. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Education & Experience S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or Engineering Minimum 2 Years of application development experience in an enterprise environment Demonstrated expertise in calling data from APIs and manipulating it for diverse business use cases. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or C#. Strong core development skills and understanding of software engineering principles. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges. Experience delivering software in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with performing work in an Agile environment preferred. Experience with Appian and/or Alteryx preferred but not required.
