Only Near to PA Please mention Visa status and Current location while sharing resume Last rate $60/hr on C2C Job Title- MS SQL DBA Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Day 1 onsite) Type: : Long Term Contract Job Description: Mandatory: MS SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS Experience in Patching/vulnerability management, Performance tuning, Backup & recover methods, Capacity planning of DB, User & Role creation & monitoring Good to have: Azure Migration exposure, Any scripting language. Roles and responsibilities Monitor SQL Server performance and capacity in order to advise stakeholders on the future health and longevity of hosted platforms. Provide expert level troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve database related incidents across a wide array of technologies and platforms. Troubleshoot and tune SQL Server performance for multiple, hosted platforms using tools such as Splunk, and SSMS. Technical decisions during high priority incidents focused on impact remediation and communicates clearly to call participants and leadership making Act as a SQL Server SME to the application and systems support engineers and evangelizing SQL best practices on development practices. Understanding current capacity issues and the capacity planning processes Working with team to review change requests. Creating automated processes and stored procedures to streamline workloads. Partnering with application owners in software deployments. Support a rigorous change control process including creating, reviewing, approving and implementing change records for database activities.
