Job role: SAP QA Test Engineer Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SAP QA Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our SAP applications through innovative testing practices and automation expertise. Responsibilities: Comprehensive Functional Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of various SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Logistics, Materials Management) using established test methodologies and best practices. Deep-dive into functional requirements and specifications to identify defects and ensure system behavior meets user expectations. Participate in test design, execution, and defect reporting, actively collaborating with developers to resolve issues efficiently. Agile & Automated Approach: Design and develop robust automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Robot Framework, or SAP-specific tools (e.g., HP UFT/QTP, Tricentis Tosca). Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous regression testing and early defect detection. Maintain and optimize existing test scripts, ensuring automation is sustainable and delivers maximum value. Performance-Focused Testing: Conduct performance testing to measure system stability, scalability, and responsiveness under diverse loads. Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations for enhanced system efficiency. Integrate performance testing into the overall QA process for a holistic quality assurance approach. Remediation and Optimization: Address the impact of automation on system performance, analyzing potential slowdowns and implementing measures for mitigation. Continuously review and refine automation scripts for efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging insights from performance testing. Effective Test Scheduling and Organization: Manage test case execution schedules efficiently, prioritizing critical areas and optimizing test cycles for timely delivery. Contribute to a collaborative test environment, proactively sharing knowledge and best practices with team members. Qualifications: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in functional testing of SAP applications (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC). 10+ years of experience in QA automation with proficiency in relevant tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methods, with relevant experience. Proven ability to identify and analyze system performance issues through testing. Experience in remediating automation-related performance impacts. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
