Responsibilities: Data Architecture, Data Mart and Warehouse Development: Build and integrate data marts based on business requirements into a complete data warehouse, emphasizing a bottom-up approach and dimensional modeling. Star Schema Design: Expertise in creating star schemas, including partitioning data into fact and dimension tables, and designing conformed dimensions for consistency. Understanding of 3NF Principles: Profound knowledge of 3rd Normal Form (3NF) for eliminating duplicate data and ensuring non-transitive dependence of non-key columns on the primary key. Data Accuracy and Integrity Automation: Implement data validation checks and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity in the data warehouse. Metadata and Data Dictionary Maintenance: Document metadata, such as table definitions and column data types, and maintain an up-to-date, accessible data dictionary for all warehouse users. Data Warehouse Design and Pipeline Development: Architect and implement scalable data warehouse solutions, and design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines. Data Integration and Modelling: Integrate data from various sources maintaining quality and consistency, and develop optimized data models for analytics and reporting. Data Quality Assurance and Performance Tuning: Implement data quality checks, optimize warehouse performance, and resolve performance bottlenecks. Collaboration and Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to meet their data needs and maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes and pipelines. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Desired knowledge of the Manufacturing, Finance, and Sales Domain: Familiarity with the manufacturing, finance and sales domains. Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling. Proficiency in SQL and experience with traditional on prem data warehousing technologies. Hands-on experience with data pipeline/ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., SSIS, ADF, Databricks, Apache Spark). Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
