Responsibilities and Skills: Job ID: NC-723799 Location: Raleigh, NC (NCDOT) Duration: 12 Months Skills: NC FAST requires a Senior Software engineer to provide software solution to business requirement using low code on cloud platforms. The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor resource for the NC FAST (Families Accessing Services through Technology) as a Senior Software Engineer responsible for working with the Architects and developers to provide software framework and design on cloud infrastructure for application need(s). This position requires prior experience as a cloud Software Engineer in designing and implementing modern technologies on cloud infrastructure including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions. This position will be responsible for development practices, performing system analysis, construct and implement new business capability on cloud platform, participate in migrating existing application to cloud, manage cloud implementation, evaluating cloud based tools/technologies for application modernization effort. This position requires understanding of requirement from customer perspective, designing a scalable and modular software solutions using low/no code platform on AWS cloud. The position requires substantial communication and interactions with business stakeholders, enterprise architecture team, and other engineers to establish guidelines and guardrails for system/infrastructure enhancements, and providing analysis of software, technology, design for various business needs. Individual is expected to have strong knowledge with AWS infrastructure, low code software platforms (like Salesforce, PowerApps) and integration platform (Like IBM ACE, MuleSoft). Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Experience in Cloud infrastructure to research, develop and implement technical designs for Servers, Network Storage and app services on AWS Required 4 Years Hands on experience with AWS tools like Elastic Beanstalk, ELB, NLB, Autoscaling, EC2, and containerization. Required 4 Years Strong understanding of VPCs, Subnet configuration, route table, Internet gateway, VPC peering, Transit gateway, VPC Link. Required 4 Years Hands on experience in AWS storage services (like S3, FSx, EBS, EFS etc.) Required 5 Years Experience designing/applying Enterprise Integration patterns (event/message, request/response, batch) using software integration tools. Required 4 Years Experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, open-source Java framework, Struts/Springs, Ajax (jQuery, Dojo), SOA, and Web Services Required 4 Years Experience in creating composable software solutions on the AWS cloud using low-code (Power Apps, salesforce etc.) and cloud-based technologies. Required 3 Years Strong hands-on programming experience in Webhook and API development using technologies like Node.js, Ruby, Python, Deno Required 2 Years Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment, where priorities and direction can change depending on business needs / opportunities. Required 5 Years AWS Cloud Certified Required 0 Ability to communicate effectively at all job levels, use excellent evaluation skills, and ability to relay information in legible reports as required Required 6 Years Experience with Agile and DevSecOps (specially CI/CD tools) methodologies.
