Were targeting 8+ yrs exp of actual database development experience MUST HAVE* 8+ years of development experience in large scale environments Database design centric, Oracle database questions Identification experience with performance and scalability issues within the code and database must have an eye for design and be able to spot inefficiencies Core database development We need a true data engineer with no AWS, Hadoop, or Informatica Essential Qualifications: PL/SQL Development: Strong skills in PL/SQL development, showcasing expertise in Oracle database development. Database Development: Proficient in database development using partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and Oracle user-defined types. UI Integration: Proficient in working with UI teams/applications, utilizing cursors, XML, JSON, etc. ETL Experience: Strong experience in developing end-to-end jobs as part of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. SQL and PL/SQL Tuning: Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL tuning, indicating the ability to optimize database performance. Data Analysis: Data analysis skills to debug, trace, and fix performance problems. Python Skills: Experience with Python, including exposure to DB connect libraries, requests, JSON, pandas, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Database Platforms: Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, MemSQL, NoSQL databases, and Big Data technologies is a big plus. Education: A bachelor's degree in business management information systems or computer science is preferred. Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred. Communication Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, suggesting the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
