Both are hybrid/on-site work schedules in the downtown Houston, TX area for my long-time. One is a Functional PeopleSoft Analyst, more like a Business Analyst where they are going to work as a liaison within the business units and the ideal candidate must have HEAVY GL and Accounting experience. This is a must have skillset and candidates cant have experience listed on their resume where they just mention and General Ledger on their resume. They must truly be a GL/Accounting expert, so the candidates will need to have that explained out on their resume of experience. Technical hands-on experience with that GL/Accounting background. Ideally, I would like US Citizen or Green Card Holders Candidate must be willing to allow the contractor go direct to the client after they have billed for at least 6 months and more than likely it will go longer on contract, but ultimately, they want to hire this person. If you are interested, here is what I need: Prefer Texas based candidates, BUT, if you find someone who will genuinely be committed and interested and willing to work on-site in Houston, I will certainly consider them. They just have to be able to start in Houston preferably within 2-3 weeks. TITLE: PeopleSoft Functional Analyst (General Ledger) -ALSO, a Technical PeopleSoft Analyst LOCATION: Central Houston TYPE: Contract (6-12 Months) Summary : The PeopleSoft Functional Analyst will act as a liaison between IS and the various functional areas that utilize the PeopleSoft Financials systems. The resource will ideally have cross functional skills across multiple PeopleSoft Financials modules but with a focus primarily on supporting the General Ledger function within PeopleSoft and as such will need to have a very strong accounting background and experience in nVision reporting. Duties: - Maintain configurations and perform monthly processing of Equitization, Consolidation, Revaluation, and Translation (multi-book TWL) - Provide user support for General Ledger business processes (journal entry, journal upload, allocations, Standard JE's, etc.) - Develop and Maintain nVision reports and PS Queries. - Process and Maintain Report Books. - Troubleshoot GL processes and reports. - Chartfield maintenance. - Assist in supporting day to day activities of PeopleSoft Financials user base. - Design and implement major/minor system enhancements in support of business functions. - Elicit end user business requirements and accurately translate/ incorporate into base system design documentation. - Assists in communicating major/minor enhancements, bug-fixes and coordinating with other support personnel to ensure seamless rollout of new functionality to internal customers. - Provide first and second level functional support for internal customers to meet pre-defined application SLAs. - Collaborate with and apprise relevant IS peers of critical project and end-user issues, and status of ongoing projects, and work effectively towards department and corporate goals. - Perform other related duties as required.
