Pls note and share with your candidate bf submitting! In addition to the compliance items required in Vector, NSU runs a separate criminal background check that searches from Age 18 forward. This is initiated once offer is accepted. The offer is contingent on them passing the NSU check as well as the criminal check the vendor runs/provides in Vector. ABOUT THE ROLE 1. The Network Administrator installs, configures, and supports an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system. 2. Maintain network hardware and software. 3. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. 4. May supervise other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. 5. Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of a local area network or wide area network. 6. Maintains the network's physical and logical structures, including network connections. 7. Maintains network support software, analyzes user support statistics, and recommends appropriate measures. 8. Installs, tests, and maintains network hardware and software. 9. Prepares and analyzes statistics on network utilization and availability. 10. Prepares training courses and provides user support and training in the use of available hardware, software, and utilities. 11. Performs tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the network resources. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Experience with network administration in a medium sized campus. 2. Knowledgeable on network protocols: DNS, DHCP, IP connectivity (Layers 1-3). 3. Experience troubleshooting IoT devices on the network. 4. Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless clients. 5. Great customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Basic knowledge of NAC, especially Cisco ISE. 2. Industry Certifications, CCNA preferred. 3. Experience with monitoring tools such as Cisco DNA Center and SolarWinds. 4. Experience with Juniper Mist Wired and Wireless.
