Job Role - DevOps Engineer (Azure Focus) Location - Coppell, TX/Onsite Local /Hybrid 4 days in office (Mandatory Mondays) Duration - 6 Months+ Visa-Any visa Mode of Interview-ONSITE Face to Face Note -Need LinkedIn Description Job Overview Main Event is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in delivering exceptional online experiences for all our guests. We are looking for innovative problem-solvers: dedicated, ambitious, with an eye for detail and a penchant for creative thinking. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working with peer departments and groups to manage and deploy the infrastructure and systems responsible for delivering the Main Event digital platform. Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer Building and maintaining tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that they all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors. Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them Update our processes and design new processes as needed to optimize performance. Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise. Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements. Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes. Work with open-source technologies as needed. Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT. Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution Qualifications for DevOps Engineer Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field. At least 7 years of work experience if no degree Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, and/or Mongo. 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes Service, App Services, Application Gateway, Azure DNS, and VPN Gateways Experience with AWS a plus 3+ years of experience with infrastructure as code such as Azure templates, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. 3+ years of experience with software engineering Azure pipelines and releases. Mid to expert level experience with Bicep scripts Experience with other CI/CD pipelines a plus Demonstrated project development and leadership skills Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures Experience identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management Experience with incident management and root cause analysis Experience setting up and maintaining automated code quality tools and systems Specific experience with SonarQube a plus Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, Go, Scala, Groovy, Bash Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed. Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
