The previous person couldnt handle our tough environment. Job Responsibilities: 1. What will this person be responsible for on a day to day basis - This Product Owner is responsible for gathering requirements and ensuring the delivery of new features/ apps for back-office ordering/ integration services 2. Is there a specific business unit your team supports - They have several teams/ products within Back Office Ordering Integration services. This includes their Credit & Fraud systems/ teams, the Risk Decision Engine is a team/ system that allows to determine eligibility of lower income customers who dont have a credit score. Theres also the Mobile Eligibility, Internet Eligibility all these engines support running credit on potential customers and determining if they are eligible for services. They also detect and prevent against fraud of customers trying to buy those services using someone elses information. 3. What % of the job is new project work vs. maintaining whats currently in place - All new feature/ product work. 4. Can you give me an example or two of projects this person will be involved with/ responsible for - There are 5 engine teams that process Credit and Fraud. New Customers give information that determines their eligibility to purchase Internet/ Mobile services. MUST HAVE skillsets: What are the key experiences, skillsets, technologies, domain knowledge, etc. that this person must have experience with (or you wouldnt want us to show their resume) Must have experience working with gathering requirements and translate them into requirements Experience using Jira or Chalk Using Postman to manage API development/ integration Must be okay stepping on toes and speaking up without being asked. Theres a lot going on and they need own things, push initiatives, etc. even if leadership is questioning. They need to show that they have prior experience learning their domain and have the confidence to drive projects without maybe having the support of leadership or other teams. This person needs to have a strong personality who isnt timid and will run with things and take initiative. May deal with a little micromanagement/ challenging of ideas. Prefer they are a certified Product Owner. They arent 100% agile so this person needs to be flexible and not super stringent on following a certain Agile process. Nice to Have Skillsets: What are a few skills/ experiences that are not required but that would put a candidate above others if they have them Experience writing Splunk queries isnt needed but a plus if they have it. Any Telecom ordering or back office experience is a plus.
