The individual will spearhead the translation of business needs into comprehensive requirements, taking charge of the entire lifecycle of IT projects. This encompasses not only defining the scope and specifications but also involves adept management and coordination throughout the project's execution. Manage multiple concurrent projects from inception through completion, ensuring seamless lifecycle management. Oversee client contracts, defining scope, budget, and timeline for successful project delivery. Elicit system and user requirements through interviews, discussions, and analytics to meet business needs. Keep the project team informed on purpose, background, scope, requirements, and critical issues. Develop communication plans and status reports, providing updates on activities, deliverables, changes, risks, and mitigation. Maintain and prioritize project backlog, considering business priorities and requirement dependencies. Identify and address cross-project dependencies, facilitating collaboration between business and IT teams. Assist in defect resolution, coordinate user acceptance testing, and organize project-related meetings and demonstrations. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Information Systems, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline preferred. Project Management Professional ( PMP) certification required. Over six (6) years of experience leading IT projects, with a focus on client interaction, encompassing requirements gathering, scope analysis, budget management, and project completion verification. Experience with government clients. Drupal experience. Strong analytical skills required, with the ability to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. In-depth understanding of technology trends, including AJAX, HTML5, browsers, firewalls, networks, ERPs, CRMs, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle, covering planning, development, requirements management, quality assurance, release management, and deployment. Excellent time management skills, including task prioritization, scope control, and meeting deadlines. Ability to reconcile stakeholder interests, address conflicting priorities, and align with business strategy. Education or working knowledge in business analysis. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have excellent situational awareness, the ability to remain calm under pressure and be cognizant of how you are perceived. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time. May be required to work on-call or long hours if necessary, in case of serious network malfunction.
