We have an urgent Requirement For Job Title: RoPa Tech SM Client-American Express Work Location: NYC, NY or Phoenix, AZ Role Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced RoPa Tech SM (Record of Processing Activities Technology Subject Matter Expert) for a 12-month engagement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in architecting and implementing processes and frameworks related to Record of Processing Activities, with a focus on data controllership. This position will be based in either NYC, NY, or Phoenix, AZ, and involves working with American Express in collaboration with our implementation partner, IBM. Key Responsibilities: RoPA Architecture: Demonstrate a solid understanding of RoPA and the ability to architect the process/framework for Record of Processing Activities. Work closely with stakeholders to define and implement data controllership strategies. Tech Stack Evaluation: Evaluate the existing data governance tech stack, including tools such as Collibra, Manta, PKWare/Dataguise. Identify overlaps and gaps in the RoPA solution within the current tech stack. Implementation: Collaborate with the team to build and implement processing activities leveraging the tech stack. Utilize custom code, particularly in Java, to enhance and customize the RoPA solution. Apply knowledge of data governance principles and big data technology, including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark. Collaboration: Work closely with American Express and implementation partner IBM to ensure alignment with project objectives. Engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement effective RoPA solutions. MUST HAVE Skills: Solid understanding of RoPA and the ability to architect RoPA processes/frameworks. Familiarity with data governance tech stacks, including Collibra, Manta, PKWare/Dataguise. Hands-on experience in building and implementing processing activities, utilizing custom code (Java). Knowledge of data governance principles and big data technology (Hadoop, Hive, Spark). Previous experience working with American Express and IBM as an implementation partner. Qualifications: Proven experience in architecting and implementing RoPA solutions. Strong technical skills, including Java programming and proficiency in data governance tools. Familiarity with big data technologies and their application in data controllership. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
