Role: Senior SAS Developer Location: McLean, VA (preferred) or Dallas, TX On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday no H1b Must Haves: SAS, SQL, UNIX, Sybase, DB2, Shell Scripting (all absolute must) Control-M If strong enough in other skills, AutoSys experience instead of Control-M is sufficient There might be some production support needed - part of the reason they want Autosys or Control-M They just moved from AutoSys to Control-M as a team so now all their work is in Control-M SAS and Unix Shell Scripting both very very important Java, DataStage, AWS (nice to have) Position Overview: Responsibilities include the following. Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes Develop innovative and automation solutions in the areas of data engineering including technology implementations using Agile construct Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes and come up with solutions to address defects Provide production support and provide clear communication on the resolution of incidents Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience 2-4 years of experience in delivering solutions using Software Development Life Cycle 4 years ETL experience using SAS, SQL and Unix, Shell Scripting, DB2/Sybase, Control-M Strong data analytical skills using complex data sources including databases and text data files Optional Skills: o Data Engineering solution delivery using AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Pyspark, Data lake), Python, Snowflake, Dev Ops and CI/CD tools o Knowledge and experience working with DataStage o Knowledge and experience working with Java Keys to Success in this Role: Ability to work effectively and productively in a team or independently Technology-first mindset, outstanding analytical skills and drive for innovation Willingness to try new things, fail fast and learn fast -- Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment sthree information technology Texas Virginia |
