The SME should understand Java on Mainframe + Programming, understand memory leaks in Java and Mainframe, understand heaps, and be able to look for Java related performance issues. Specifically needed during Testing of workloads / batches and aid the Infra and apps team with recommendations. Java experience in coding for Mainframe, that can monitor and do some consulting Advice from a performance and capacity standpoint. Should be able logon and use IBM OMEGAMON, detect, and confirm. bad java code, requirements or need for more memory, not required to troubleshoot as much but to advise of a performance problem that could occur. The individual would work with the steady state PCM team. In CICS with OSGI Bundles: Execute Java 17 Include com.ibm.db2.jcc in the library list Include MQ Jar Files Ability to read/write MQ Queues Ability to read/write to DB2 using a Type 2 JDBC connection to the default DB2 Subsystem configured in the CICS Region Use an Azure Pipeline for Deployments UCS Cobol Program will write to a GMI/MQ Queue. GMI will trigger a CICS Transaction associated with a Java Program The Java Program will read the queue (cycling until empty) and read VSAM files writing data to DB2. Client Requirements: In Batch: Execute Java 17 Write/Read to MQ Queues Write/Read DB2 Call REST Services Include Spring Boot Include Spring Batch For Development use developers individual Unix Systems Services directories For INT/QA ideally setup folders specifically for each environment For Prod setup folders specifically for PROD and secured Use an Azure Pipeline for all deployments In z/CX: Execute Java 17 in a Container Include Spring Boot Include DB2 Access via JDBC Type 4 configured in the container/app server Build and deploy through MetLifes existing container infrastructure A COBOL program (Batch or Online) will use the z/OS Connect CLIENT interface to call a REST Service (Secured via APIC or similar) The REST Service will be implemented in Java in a Container in z/CX The Rest Service will connect to DB2 and retrieve data and respond to the calling client. 7.2.
